Ian Phillips Says of Hochul's Data Center Order Good First Step

AUBURN, NY – Ian Phillips has been a leading voice opposing data center development, lending his voice at the passage of moratoriums and resolutions supporting data center moratorium bill in Lysander, Baldwinsville and Auburn. He plans to spearhead future local actions in Central New York.

"Governor Hochul's executive action stops the immediate threat of data centers in our neighborhoods. We'll need leadership in the Assembly to finalize laws to ensure our communities, wallets, and environment are protected. Until then, I'm still a no on data centers, and I don't see that changing in the next year."

Ian lives in Auburn, in the same neighborhood he grew up in, with his wife Tracy and rescue dog, Lincoln.

The 126th Assembly District includes parts of Cayuga and Onondaga Counties. The general election will take place on November 3, 2026.
