Phillips Campaign Launches New Ad on Streaming Services

AUBURN, NY – Ian Phillips has released a new digital ad focused on his background of service as a teacher, advocate for working people, and as Auburn’s School Board President. The video also highlights three key issues in which he differs from his opponent John Lemondes (R-Lafayette).

Phillips plans on focusing on his record of lowering costs for working people, refusing to take corporate money, and protecting the Finger Lakes in the race for Assembly. Lemondes has only passed two bills in his six years in office, both taxes. He has also taken 16 donations from utility companies and their lobbyists, including NYSEG and its parent company Avangrid. Lemondes also expressed opposition to updating Owasco Lake’s stakeholder-approved watershed rules and voted against prohibiting cancer-causing pesticides at children’s summer camps.

Phillips is a lifelong Central New Yorker, whose family ties go back five generations. He lives in Auburn, in the same neighborhood he grew up in, with his wife Tracy and rescue dog, Lincoln.

The 126th Assembly District includes parts of Cayuga and Onondaga Counties. The general election will take place on November 3, 2026.
