New Poll Shows Ian Phillips and John Lemondes in a Virtual Tie for AD 126

Auburn, NY — In a new poll conducted by Public Policy Polling, Democrat Ian Phillips and Republican incumbent John Lemondes are locked in a close race with less than two months to go until the November 3 election.

Ian Phillips polls at 38% among likely voters to 41% for John Lemondes, with 21% of voters undecided. Phillips also polls higher among independent voters, 36% to 31% with 33% undecided. The margin of error is +/- 3.8%

The district has a Republican registration advantage, and while GOP voters break towards Lemondes, Phillips’ strength with independent voters gives him a clear path to victory in the race.
